What drew me to OT

Every child is unique

I am driven by a passion to see young people flourish, and I have dedicated my career to providing compassionate therapeutic care for children and youth. I believe in supporting the whole family, working closely with both children and their caregivers to build resilience and navigate daily challenges together.

I value a holistic approach to care. Over the years I have worked closely alongside Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Nurses, Paediatricians and Psychiatrists, and that background lets me bring a well-rounded, diverse set of clinical skills to every family I support.

How I think about children

Every child’s behaviour tells a story

A child's behaviour is their way of communicating their inner world. My practice is built on being deeply curious and attuned to children and youth. By creating a playful, accessible space, I help them express the thoughts, feelings and experiences that shape their choices and actions.

Children are naturally honest, creative and resilient, and so are the parents and caregivers who support them. In my clinical care, I strive to match that wonderful energy every single day, working alongside families to understand what those behaviours are truly communicating. Together, we translate thoughts and feelings into positive, achievable steps forward.

In a session

Meeting children exactly where they are

Child-led sessions mean meeting children exactly where they are. Whether we are exploring the garden, playing on the floor or creating at the kitchen table, my focus is on co-regulation and true connection.

By joining in on their play, listening intently and mirroring their actions, I create a safe, present space where children feel deeply seen and understood. Wherever we are, I am fully present.

How I set up my day

Grounded by nature and guided by light

My home is a sanctuary defined by view-filled windows that welcome the daytime sun, and a gentle, amber glow of lamps and fairy lights that bring the space to life at night.

Where I focus

Twenty years, and a specialty in neurodiversity

I bring twenty years' experience to this work. I have specialised in neurodiversity, including treatment and diagnostic assessment, and have spent my career working with children and youth who have neurodevelopmental conditions, in public paediatric and youth mental health services. Understanding uniqueness is my specialty.

Neurodiversity

Treatment and diagnostic assessment for children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions.

Youth mental health

A career spent in public paediatric and youth mental health services, alongside the wider team around a young person.

The whole family

Working with children and their caregivers together, so resilience and daily challenges are shared rather than carried alone.

Outside of work

Staying regulated

A little about me

Juggling professional and personal life comes down to one key practice: staying regulated.

For me, that balance starts in the water. As a lifelong swimmer, I find the unique combination of high-energy exercise and sensory immersion the perfect way to reset. Outside of the pool, I stay grounded through mindfulness, nature, good food and a healthy dose of listening to and playing music. Above all, I prioritise quality time with my family and love travelling to remote, off-the-beaten-path destinations to explore the great outdoors. Connecting with nature and my loved ones is what keeps me focused, energised and ready for the next professional challenge.

That balance starts in the water.
