THE PEOPLE BEHIND SEEDS

Independent therapists.
Supported by Seeds.

Seeds brings together independent occupational therapists in a practice led by Nisha Bal, our founder and occupational therapist.

Your therapist chooses their caseload and uses their professional judgement to plan support with you. Seeds helps families find a suitable OT and handles enquiries, referrals and billing.

Nisha reads every enquiry personally. We take time to understand your child and look for an OT who could be a good long-term fit for your family.

THE SEEDS WAY OF WORKING

Your OT, with a team
behind them.

Our OTs work with Seeds as independent subcontracted practitioners. Each chooses their caseload and plans support with you. We look for a therapist whose experience, approach and availability could be a good fit for your child and family over time.

Space for clinical work

There are no weekly billing targets or minimum caseloads. Your OT uses their professional judgement to plan support around your child. Seeds handles enquiries, referrals and billing.

People to turn to

Your therapist can draw on mentoring, supervision and conversations with Nisha and other Seeds OTs. You have a relationship with your own OT, supported by a wider team.

A sustainable practice

Seeds prioritises fair remuneration, putting as much as we can towards the OTs doing the work while keeping the practice sustainable. Supporting our therapists is part of how we support families.

A SMALL FIRST STEP

What happens next?

You can start with what you know.
We’ll work through the rest together.

  1. 01

    Tell us about your child

Your suburb, what you’re noticing and the times that might work. Choose a therapist’s enquiry button and their name comes through with your enquiry.

  2. 02

    We find a suitable match

Our admin team will reply within two days to talk about options, availability and fees. An enquiry doesn’t commit you to sessions.

  3. 03

Go ahead, then plan your first visit

Once you’ve decided to go ahead with therapy through Seeds, your OT contacts you to introduce themselves and plan the first visit. You can share what helps your child feel comfortable.

A FEW PRACTICAL THINGS

Before you
get in touch.

Session & travel fees
Do we need a referral or diagnosis?

No. You can contact us without a referral or a formal diagnosis. Tell us what you’re noticing and we’ll talk about whether Seeds is a suitable fit.

Do you see NDIS and private families?

Yes. We see privately funded families and self-managed or plan-managed NDIS participants. We can’t currently accept agency-managed NDIS bookings.

What if no therapist is listed in our suburb?

Please send an enquiry anyway. Visiting areas change, and we can ask the therapists closest to you whether a visit would be workable. We’ll let you know either way.

Does “taking enquiries” mean we can start straight away?

It means you’re welcome to enquire about a place. It isn’t a reserved appointment. We’ll check your suburb, your child’s needs and everyone’s availability before confirming the next step.

WHEN YOU’RE READY

Let’s talk about
your child.
